Well I seem to be the only chaper who writes to keep ya'll posted.

Yes the Album is taking longer than originally planned. And yes we could have been more efficient. However not a little has been happening recently (double negatives... I don't like them a little!).

So we have about 11ish songs that are complete and ready for the album about 10 of which are recorded.

Here is the draft track order.... (not in order)

# Never again
# Dirty Bird
# Livin' it up
# Somewhere but here
# Breathe slow
# In Vain
# Working
# Girl I like
# Too Far
# Sleep alone

We have all of these bad boys recorded accept sleep alone, which we may or may not record.

Now we need to work on mixing them all.  Adding the extra flowery bits, the bells and whistles (if bob has anything to do with it), as well as how they all play together when they are placed linearly.

We might throw a few more on here, possibly a better recording of a little more fun,

Songs we didn't finish in time for the Album:

> Givin' our love a rest
> You fooled me girl
> Paralysed

Just between you and me, I might try and see if we can learn up "Givin' our a rest" so we can put this on the album too! Just don't tell the others.

Cheers to everyone who came down to the Louisiana on Tuesday and made it such a great night, even if I have now managed to trash 2 snare drums in as many nights! Kudos to Gareth of the Reavers who kindly lent me his snare after knowing full well that I'd just destroyed mine. The guys put on a killer set, so make sure you check them out as well.

Now, to finish that darn album...

Time keeps tickedy booing along!! And we are yet to share our new exciting creations with the rest of you who listen from afar and can’t always make it to our gigy wigys.

Well, we have uploaded - or within this week promise to upload - two new tracks recorded, produced, mastered, mixed and performed by In Ex. Hahaha - got to give your self credit sometimes, even though it is frowned upon in this 3 foot ceiling world most of us live under…… a story for another time. Yerp 2 whole brand spanking new songs; “Never Again (Walking In The Rain)”, a song we are all very proud of, and “Somewhere But Here”, a chilled out melodic ballad for posh wanking to, but not if you’re a bloke ha-hah!

We are currently in the process of mixing and mastering Dirty Bird, a firm favourite among loyal gig goers. So the new album is well on track!
SOO I should also take some time to have a little natter about old morgasm (aka Steve Morgan - once loved bassist turned devilish traitor of In Extremis - who has succumbed to bedroom guitar playing and remixing of Queen songs). - you didn’t think I’d let you off scot-free ol’ Stevie-pops! ;-) No Stevey is still much loved, though we are now in the process of auditioning new bassists... so if you fancy playing a wee bit of bass guitar for us let us know and you can come down for a jamy wamy.

NEXT!

Sunday we held our first audition. Where all 3 bassists had mysterious illnesses or misfortunes – All of which, I think, brought on by the following terrible conditions:
-         on Sunday!
-         Before 12:00 ?? ('Does time exist before midday?' you hear the musicians cry from afar)
-         Rainy, grey, gross and cold weather

Excuses:

“I couldn’t come because I thought I broke my wrist”
“I walked outside and remembered I didn’t have my car”
“I don’t have a bass or amp”

hmmm imaginative… If one of these is a legitimate excuse (and knowing many arteeests, they probably are perfectly heart felt, legitimate excuses) then I apologise profusely for mocking them in this mini blog. I didn’t mention the names of the aforementioned beholders of interesting excuses for safety from our hordes of violent fans!

However, the day was a success as we finished writing and recording the foundations of a new so far un-gigged power ballad similar to “Don’t Blame Me” called “In Vain” or something to that effect.

So good progress in the In Ex camp we’ll upload the songs for your jolly little ears soon!!
Speak soon oh ye believers
